The Oxfordshire Museum Service

The Oxfordshire Museum Service cares for the County Council's museum collections, some of which are exhibited in the Oxfordshire Museum, Woodstock, Oxfordshire. Collections are also displayed in other museums throughout Oxfordshire:

• Museum of Oxford, Oxford
• Cogges Manor Farm Museum, Witney
• Abingdon Museum, Abingdon
• Banbury Museum, Banbury
• Vale and Downland Museum, Wantage

Together these have about 350,000 visitors per year.

The County's reference collections are held in a new purpose-built store and collections management centre, which contains a significant regional collection of artefacts from all cultural periods.
