The little basket from the panel showing Jesus in the Temple reproduces a local work probably in bracejo (vegetable fibre), similar (although different) to the congolese mat from the Annunciation panel. Such baskets would have been useful to carry fresh produce home from market, just as the doves are being brought to the temple here. In this Retable scene the basket carries two doves, as usual in the hebrew ritual.
