Weight, probably from a Weaver’s Loom, found in Setúbal: 1st-4th centuries AD

The production of fish condiments probably took place in the months when the weather was good. In the winter, the inhabitants of Roman Setúbal (Caetobriga) would have been occupied with agriculture or the industry of dying fabrics, using extracts from molluscs known as murex to obtain a purple dye.
