Regulation 32/33

Under Regulation 33 of the Children's Homes Regulations 2001 for England (Regulation 32 in Wales) the Registered Provider must arrange for monthly checks to be conducted of Children's Homes managed by the authority. These visits should normally be unannounced but can be announced. An Independent Person usually carries out these visits, with reports given to the Registered Provider, who has a duty to forward them to the Regulatory Authority.
