Serious Case Review
A Serious Case Review (previously called a Part 8 Review) is conducted in the following circumstances:
- when a child dies and abuse or neglect are known to be a factor in the death;
- where a child sustains a potentially life-threatening injury or serious and permanent impairment of health and development.
