Model-maker Neville Rainsley's Smallest Show on Earth has electric lights and a series of miniature curtains with tableaux; the Ferris Wheel revolves and is electrified. Rainsley's animated models were displayed at Oxford's St Giles' Fair in the 1920s. The actual, full-sized rides and shows they depicted were created and animated by fairground travellers.
