The project selected six groups of people who migrated for different reasons and became minority groups in the host community - Oxfordshire (UK), Setubal (Portugal) or Greece. They brought with them cultural backgrounds which have enriched the culture of their new home.

The project used museum collections to illustrate how these incoming minorities influenced the host culture within three themes - food, fashion and furnishings. The collections date from the 16th to the 20th century.
